It's been way too long since my last update!

My wrist is healing nicely - I barely notice it now. Thanks to those who wished me well on my recovery. It's a little slow but it improves every day and I'm at the point where I'm working unimpeded.

I've completed the stripper decks for the Ravn Series 3 project with Lorenzo Gaggiotti/Stockholm17 and magician Caroline Ravn. They came out pretty great, I think! Gamblers' Warehouse received them and they're already shipping out. The tuck boxes really are gorgeous, as is the brick box that Lorenzo posted looks great as well. I even converted one of the decks into a (so far) one-of-a-kind Blind Wizard deck as a gift for Ms. Ravn herself.

A few of you have reached out to me about your stripper decks - these are really finely cut, far more so than your typical magic store stripper deck, so for some, they're a little difficult to use. If you aren't happy with the cut and want something deeper, use the contact form at the bottom of the page and get back to me - we'll see what I can do for you.

If you're really into gaffed decks, Lorenzo was offering five limited edition Ravn 3 decks that have been converted to Invisible decks by none other than Terry Ady, the man behind Twisted Artistry (he does a lot of card/deck gaffing work like I do). They seem to be long gone by now, though. However, if you'd like to convert your OWN Ravn (or other brand) playing cards into an Invisible deck (or some other kind of cool gaff), I can help you with that - just get in touch!

Now...that headline... :)

Yes, Magic Live is the first week of August, Sunday the 4th through Wednesday the 7th. It's the largest magic convention in the country, as far as I know, held in Las Vegas at the Orleans Hotel and about 1,600 people are expected to be there. But the real news is not simply that I'm going to be one of them. Nope! The big news is that I'm going to have a DEALER'S BOOTH! I'll be at the convention, selling my services as a deck tailor for hire!

Joining me in my booth will be Randall Butterfield II - you might know him as Randy, that crazy guy who brings his family to the 52 Plus Joker convention, or you might know him as the guy behind Midnight Cards and one of the more prolific playing card designers out there, creating one of the widest ranges of decks of any design studio. I'm in the process of working on gaffing some Midnight Cards decks in designs "suitable for workers" (especially workers who are tired of seeing Bicycle Rider Backs all the time!) and Randy will have a big surprise in store for his fans and anyone who's attending, so remember to look for our booth if you're going to be there. If you have questions (about anything other than the big surprise), please feel free to ask me using the contact form below.

That's all for now. I have a lot of preparation between now and August, but I'm sure I'll get it all taken care of soon enough. I want to give a very quick shout-out to a person who gave my Blind Wizard deck a rave review, Ekaterina Doubrokhotova - keep your eyes peeled, folks, 'cause she announced that she's making a new custom deck of her own, self-funded! Everyone, be excellent to each other!
